Geske-Alverson Wedding at Hardln
Miss Betty Lou Alverson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Alverson Sr., and Edward Geske, son o f Mr. and Mrs. Sam Geske of Hardin were married at the Baptist parsonage in Hardin- by the Re v. George Throgmorton at 2 o'clock Saturday. The couples attendants were sister and
brother-in-law of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. John Passalaqua.
A wedding reception was held at 4 o'clock at the home of the bride's parents. Those present w ere the Rev. and Mrs. Throgmorton and family of Hardin, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Geske of Hardin, Mr . and Mrs. Frank Passalaqua and family of Newton, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Taverners of Hardin, Do n Stern of Staunton, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Alverson of St. Louis, and Mr. and Mrs. John Passalaqu a and daughter and Vincent Passalaqua.
The bride attended Grafton schools and graduated from Jerseyville Community High School wit h the 1952 class. She is employed at Owens-Illinois Glass Co. Mr. Gieske attended the Hardi n schools and is also employed at Owens-Illinois Glass Co.
Following the reception the young couple left for a short trip and will return to Alton wher e they have established their home.

GESKE
Edward and Bettie Geske of Godfrey are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary.
The former Bettie Alverson became the bride of Geske on Sept. 5, 1954, in Hardin. The Rev. Ge orge Throgmorton performed their ceremony. Geske retired from CBW Transport
and works for Godfrey Bus Lines and Godfrey Tours and Charter.
Their children are Linda Jackson and her husband, Kent, Duane Geske and his wife, Hilda, an d Ronald Geske and his wife, Patricia. A daughter, Cheryl Ann Geske, is deceased.
The anniversary celebrants have four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
