J. A. Snider
HARDINIn ill health for more than a year, Joseph A. Snider, 65, died Thursday at 1:20 p.m. , in Jersey Community Hospital, Jerseyville, where he had been a patient for one day.
He had been in and out of the hospital several times since the beginning of his illness.
A life-long resident of Hardin, he was born Sept. 12, 1895, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ab ner Snider.
Surviving are a son, George Irvin Snider, East Alton; two brothers, Earl and George, Hardin ; a sister, Mrs. Electa Herron, Hardin, and two grandchildren.
Mr. Snider was a member of Finrt Presbyterian Church, Hardin, and funeral rites Saturday a t 2 p.m. will be conducted in the church. Burial will be in the Hardin Cemetery.
The body is at the C.C. Hanks Funeral home where friends may call.
The family has designed the Cancer Society as a memorial for Mr. Snider
