Lela Edmiston
ALTON - Lela M. Edmiston, 75. died at 1:31 a.m. Sunday. Dec. 24, 1995, at St. Anthony's Hospi tal in Alton.
Born in Calhoun County Oct. 30. 1920, she was a daughter cf the late Wilson Rush and Minnie ( Geske) Bailey.
She married her ex-husband. William E. Edmiston, Nov. 1, 1941, in Columbia. Mo., and he survi ves.
Also surviving are three daughters, Karen Boedeker of Godfrey, Patricia Gorman of Bentonville , Ark., and Tamara Edmiston of St. Louis; a son, William R. Edmiston of St. Louis; and thre e grandchildren, Brian and his wife, Penny, Boedeker, Brooke Boedeker and Kelly Gorman.
She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Edmiston; four brothers, Edward, Johnny, Jacob Sr . and Aubrey Bailey; and two sisters, Ada Rose Smith and Margaret Wilson Utterback.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elias-Smith Funeral Home in Godfrey.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church in Alton, with Brother Andre ' Dobson officiating.
Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
Memorials may be made to the church, where she was a member.
