Frank H. Langwisch
HARTFORD - Frank M, Langwisch, 85, died at 9:40 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13,2001, at Colonnades N ursing Home in Granite City.
Born Sept. 14, 1915, in Edwardsville, he was a son of the late Frank M. and Helen (Schmidt) L angwisch.
A World War II U.S. Army veteran, he was employed as an operator for Shell Oil Co. for severa l .years. He retired in 1978.
He married the former Viola Snider on Nov. 24, 1962 in Wood River. She died April 9, 1979:
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Bart Pickett of Hartford; a son and daugh ter-in-law, Frank and Pat Langwisch of Plantersville, Texas; four grandchildren, Frank Alle n Langwisch, Sherry Walsh, Kristie Moore and Brad Pickett; three great-grandchildren;
and three sisters, Hazel Renz of Carlinville, Isabelle Kelly of Bethalto and Gussie Lieneman n of Highland.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilbur Langwisch and Alvin Langwisch; two sisters , Eleanor Ashauer and Helen Dickman; and a grandson, Scott Allen Langwisch.
Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. today at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services wil l be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
The Rev. Charles Schwaab will officiate.
Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to Hartford United Methodist Church.
