(snip)
Charles Harrington, Jr. was also born in Mobile in 1797 and died in Louisiana in 1876. He was married to Eugenie Derouen, b. 07/01/1801, on 08/19/1817 in St, Martinville, St. Martin Parish, LA, which is also where Eugenie was born. Charles and Eugenie "are the progenators of the Harringtons from the Gross Isle and Rice Cove area of Vermillion Parish." This is quoted from the book, "History of Vermillion Parish. So, Charles Jr. and Eugenie were the first Harringtons to settle in this area in Louisiana. They had 9 children.
Charles Sr. and Sarah had 7 children with the last being Marie Harrington born 03/08/1825. As far as I know, only Charles Jr. came to Louisisana.
