- During the American Revolution, he lived in Fauquier County, Virginia. Enlisted in the Revolutionary Army in spring of 1781. Served under General Stevens. Served as a Leuitenant under General ? Rogers Clark. Was a Colonel in war of 1812 and was with General Stonewall Jackson at the Battle of New Orleans. The city of Louisville, Kentucky is built on a portion of the land grant given to him for his service.
