At any rate, it turns out that the brother, Herman, married a girl from Marlin, Texas. The girl's name was Annie (or Anna) Perkins. The wedding took place in Falls County. Annie was more or less the same age as Stella, so I assume they knew each other, and that must be how Stella met her future husband, Rudolph.
After they were married, Annie Perkins Olenbush and her husband, Herman, went to live in Waco, so perhaps that was why Stella ended up in Waco, and how she met and married Rudolph in 1885.
-- follow-up --
in 1880 Annie Perkins is single; living next door to Peter Kyser whose daughter is Mattie Kyser (b 1874)
Mattie Kyser later marries Walter Emmett Hunnicutt, a brother to Hiram Taylor Hunnicutt - 1st husband of Stella Moore.
In 1900 census, Walter Emmett Hunnicutt and Mattie Kyser are living near Stella's father, Wm Calhoun Moore.
So, Stella did know Annie Perkins when she was married to Hunnicutt.
