- Jane Hannay was the daughter of Sir Robert Hannay of Mochrum, 1st Bt. and Jane Stewart.1,2 She married, firstly, Charles Coote, 1st Earl of Mountrath, son of Sir Charles Coote, 1st Bt. and Dorothea Cuffe, before May 1645.3 She married, secondly, Sir Robert Reading, 1st and last Bt. circa 1662.3 She died circa November 1684.3 She was buried on 18 November 1684 at Westminster Abbey, Westminster, London, England.3
From before May 1645, her married name became Coote.3 As a result of her marriage, Jane Hannay was styled as Countess of Mountrath before May 1645.1 From circa 1662, her married name became Reading.3
