  	as indicated in 1907 city directory, Will was working as a window dresser at Bessemer's, as was a Nellie Moyer (?). As stated in his memoirs (see Yellowed Pages, by Elizabeth Deaton Moyer), "Will's brother-in-law, Lee Crutcher, got Will a job at Bressemer's Department Store as electrician, Window trimmer, and elevator operator."
  		Bressmer Department Store the John Bressmer Co. It was located at 631 E. Adams Street in downtown Springfield. Opened a store in 1977 to White Oaks Mall but soon changed named and then bought out by probably Dillards who closed the store. The downtown store closed in 1980, as well.

  	There's a headstone found in findagrave, as well as Ancestry.com that says "Ira L. Crutcher 1880 - 1934 ---- Infant Son." No dates for the child; and birth date of 1880 does not match his draft record, which is more likely to be correct, as well as 1910 and 1920 census records in Sangamon Co. This record shows his b.d. as 11 Mar 1880 in McLean Co, Illinois; death date as 19 Dec 1934 in Springfield. The cemetery is shown as Frankeberger Cem in McLean County. There is an Ira L. Crutcher in 1900 Dawson, McLean Co, IL census N G Crutcher 63 female head Jun 1836 wid WV VA VA W Irvin Crutcher 42 Apr 1858 son IL OH WV Lee I Crutcher 20 Mar 1880 grandson IL IL IL Claude Dragoo 10 Mar 1897 grandson IL IN IL This Ira Crutcher's mother was born in France. So, the Ira Crutcher from McLean, b 1880 seems to be a different Ira Crutcher. ss
