Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie Coke Osman, 42, who died at their home in Stamford, October 30th, 1939, were held from the Bethel Baptist church of Funston Tuesday afternoon with J.P. Crenshaw, minister of the Church of Christ of Sweetwater in charge, assisted by O.H. Tabor, minister of the Stamford Church of Christ.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Mrs. Osman has made her home for several years with a brother-in-law, H.H. Corley of Stamford.
Burial was in Bethel cemetery beside the grave of her first husband, S.T. Coker, who died in 1925. She married S.T. Coker in 1918. After his death, she married E.E. Osman who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Osman was born April 11, 1897, in Wolfe City. She moved to Jones county when a girl and had lived here the past 25 years. She had been a member of the Church of Christ for the last 18 years.
Surviving: two children: Mrs. E.V. Olson of Avoca and Stanley Coker of Stamford; her mother: Mrs. L.C. Tarver of Wichita Falls; three sisters: Mrs. Jo Wheeler of Anson, Mrs. Ruth Harper of Wichita Falls; Mrs. John Smith of Gober; four brothers: Clifton Tarver of Anson; C.C. Tarver of Sweetwater; Luke Tarver of Wichita Falls; W.H. Tarver of Palestine.
