Elza Mae Hopper, age 84 of Searcy, died Tuesday, June 19, 2007. She was born December 4, 1922 at Holly Springs, Arkansas to Elza Dempsey Brown and Nellie Mae (Stewart) Brown. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church where she served with the Nursing Home Ministries, Women's Ministries and was a member of the White County Medical Center Auxiliary.
She leaves a priceless legacy of commitment and faithfulness to God and her family, a woman of great strength and character, sacrificing her needs for others.
Preceding her in death are her parents, as well as one brother, Elvin Ray Brown of Richmond Virginia.
Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Carolyn Turley and husband Larry of Searcy; a grandson, Scott Turley and wife Missy; a great-grandson, Zachery; two brothers, Jerrell Brown and wife Dorothy of Quitman, Cletus Brown and wife Vangalee of Searcy; and one sister, Billie Ramsey of Pangburn.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Howell Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
