ALBRECHT Paul Albrecht, age 85 of Trumbull, passed on to the Lord July 8, 2011 at Bridgeport Hospital in Bridgeport. Born January 10, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y., a son of the late Hillard and Marie (Behn) Albrecht. Mr. Albrecht was a member of the United States Army. He worked with Bell and Howell, and with Avco Lycoming as a draftsman and tool designer. He was first married to Mary Bejou, for twenty three years. She preceded him in death in 1971. He was then married Frances Knopick for thirty eight years. She survives. Paul was a member of the Golden Hill First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport, where he sand in the church choir. He and his wife Frances volunteered for St. Vincent De Paul Society in Derby. In addition to his wife Frances, he is survived by two sons, Robert Albrecht and wife, Kim of Leesburg, Va. and Kenneth Albrecht and wife Velinda of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Friends were at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney. A funeral service was held at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Roger Howard. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Punxsutawnry. Memorials in Paul's honor may be made to St. Vincent De Paul 237 Roosevelt Drive, Derby CT 06418.
