The bustling activity of the town has long since moved on to newer parts of town. But this house knew its share of sadness and tragedy for this family. It was in this house that my great grandmother died, being cared for during her fatal bout with the pandemic flu of 1918, as did George Rowley, her son in law only days earlier. And it was this house the following year that another son in law, Rad Gallier had left to run an errand for Mary and was killed in a fatal car accident. (See Radford Gallier death notes) |
