South Park High School is not just a school but it is history. It is the history of Beaumont and Lamar University.

If we keep tearing down the history of Beaumont, then we have nothing to share with our children or the next generation.

Will the next be the Spindletop Gusher, John Jay French museum, McFaddin-Ward House, the Temple of the Brave or Tyrrell Library?

South Park was built by R.H. Hunt. He built some of the most beautiful buildings in the United States that are also historical buildings.

Is Beaumont ashamed of the history of our town? The building is structurally safe and can be remodeled. It can still be used has a school.

So why would you want such a beautiful building of history to be torn down, not counting the memories of Lamar University and South Park students?
