Pep rally for South Park Middle School Posted: Apr 10, 2010 8:36 PM CDT Updated: Apr 10, 2010 9:15 PM CDT Rally held today for South Park School Supporters who wanted to stop the demolition of South Park Middle School held a pep rally today right across from the demolition site. They say it's a final farewell. Former graduates and supporters gathered for that final farewell. Sharon Voss, GREENIE, said, "we had planned a pep rally about a month ago in support of the school, the school district was trying and did and doing it, and we were posing that, but mainly we were getting Greenies together for support of the school". To the old South Park School building that's now being demolished. There was a bitter legal fight to the end. Between the greenies and the school district, B.I.S.D. estimates it will take about 45 days to finish demolishing the old building after which they plan for construction of the new building to start in June.
