What The Hell are They Thinking?

There are times when you just want to shake your head and wonder what in the hell people are thinking. And there you have it - the Board of Trustees - who have been labeled "The Mob Bosses" by many in the political community.

As widely announced in the media - BISD will appeal Judge Wortham's ruling regarding Southpark. And they are going to make the Greenies put up a bond. A big one. So it is said. Meaning - the government is going after the people. Just like the Mob would do in the old days - either you are for us or against us and we will make you pay.

Politically - the anger has begun to spread and the stupidity of the BISD Trustees is palatable.

Let's take a fast look at it.

1) The Board of Trustee's thinks that the ruling by Wortham was political. They ignore that their blessed superintendent lied on the witness stand. And as well was one of the worst witnesses that has ever been on the stand as seen by the Review. And they think that the 9th court of appeals - which is run by conservative Judges is going to give liars a chance to appeal their lies? Wow!

2) It continues a fight between old Beaumont and the black community that wants Southpark to be taken down because of its racial history. Hell, just ask Paul Brown - he will tell you.

BISD had a bad week last week. A liar was exposed - they lost a ruling and their cops are running around doing personal business because they have nothing to do. Now that is a hoot! So what do they do? Pull another PR blunder.

Our take?

We thought that it was Carroll Thomas's gig. But it appears that it is not. It appears that the board of trustees is what many call it - an organized mob with a political agenda that makes no sense for the "childrens" - or at best - a liberal group of tax and spenders that just does not care about your tax dollars.

We wonder in fact where in the hell Tom Neild is? Wasn't he the one that was the taxpayers man? He should be on the top of the mountain screaming.

But remember taxpayers - YOU WILL NOT TELL THEM WHAT TO DO. They will do what they want to do when they want to do it and how they want to do it. You gave them the power.

Our advice - take the power away. Get rid of them. But again - we see Port Arthur and their end coming to Beaumont. The BISD has set it up - and when the education dies - so does the city. And if anyone has not looked around in Jefferson County - the cities are dying.

Just some food for thought this Tuesday morning.
