SAVE SOUTH PARK MEETING:
ST. PAULS METHODIST CHURCH FELLOWSHIP, WOODROW STREET
April 14, 3:00 p.m.

Hey, GREENIES and fellow concerned citizens,
The Petition Drive that was held on March 10 was a success.  Petitions were signed by GREENIES, concerned citizens, candidates for city council, business owners, teachers, policemen, parents of GREENIES, parents of SPMS students.

At the last meeting on March 3rd we formed committees to locate more concerned citizens and to explore the necessary steps to obtain a National historical marker for the school. We strongly encourage everyone to write letters to the school board, city officials, and state legislators.  A list of some of the officials are included below for your convenience to let your voices be heard.

We are trying to collect all concerned persons' emails into one complete master list for sending out updates rather than several small groups so we will be more effective in apprising everyone of the progress in saving the school.  So, if you don't see someone's email address here who would want to be included, please let me know.

BISD is feeling the heat from the loud, united outcry of protest coming from all walks of life!  So we need to keep it up!   I receive signed petitions every day from more and more segments of the community, as well as GREENIES ranging from the Class of 1927 to the Class of 1986.

If you attended the meeting or the petition drive, you might have noticed the South Park T-shirt I was wearing.  Many have asked where they can get one.  As soon as I can find out if they can be made available to us again, I will update you on those details of how to get one.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or call me. (409-899-1879). Looking forward to see you on April  14.   if you can help at Petition Drive please let me know.

Miriam
