Attached:  History of South Park and neighborhood

Hello Beth,

My name is Lou Bodden Buxton and I'm a graduate of South Park High School class of '65.  When I learned of the upcoming fate of our revered SPHS building, I was appalled and heart broken.  There is nothing in South Park that has the history of SPHS.  I've attached some of that history for your edification.  You'll learn that South Park was settled about 1890 and grew from there.  It's really fascinating to learn what an impact that community had on our entire area.  Well, you'll see as you read the attached document.

Please help us save this historical building and keep the history of the beginning of Beaumont for future generations to have and share with their children and grandchildren of this area.  We must never forget those who made it possible for us to flourish today!

I would appreciate any and all your help.  Thank you for your time and consideration.

God Bless You,
Lou Bodden Buxton

P.S.  Additionally, below is the history of our Mascot.  Please note the history woven through this "one" part of SPHS.  Everything about South Park High School is the "History" that helped propel Beaumont into the "Black Gold" business before there was any "Black Gold" found at the Lucas Gusher.
