The "apology"

Dear Colleagues,

What comes up does not always have to come out. That is one piece of advice that I should always remember. Please accept this note as my apology to you for allowing what I deemed as an untrue news article to incite me to a level that I would express what I did in an earlier e-mail. In my medicated state, I felt I was enlightening colleagues of the facts. However, on reflection, I see that ignoring the accusations may have been the best response. It is my sincere hope that you will look into your hearts and forgive me of any offense.

Sincerely,
