WOOD RIVER
Silvana "Susy" Dorman, 81, died at 12:52 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2005, at Alton Memorial Hos pital.
She was born June 23, 1923, in Florence, Italy, to Arnolfo and Emilio " B i a n c a " Lami.
She married William D. Dorman on Oct. 29, 1945, in Florence.
He died March 10,1991. She was a beloved wife, mother and homemaker. She loved her family, Su nday drives, crocheting, watching soap operas and dining out.
Survivors include two sons and their spouses, Stephen W. and Violet L. Dorman of Wood River a nd Danie L. and Sherrie M. Dorman of Bethalto; four grandchildren, Amie Dorman-Locke, Christo pher, Holly and Matthew Dorman; one stepgrandchild, Steven Mills;
two great-grandchildren, Alexander Dorman and Brandon Locke; one sister, Piera Lami of Italy ; and one brother, Piero Lami of Italy.
In addition to her husband, her parents preceded her in death.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where Pastor Willa rd Meyer will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Monday.
Burial will be at Hardin Cemetery.
Silvana married William Danie Dorman on 29 Oct 1945 in Florence, Italy. William (son of Danie Dorman and Flora Temple Snider) was born on 16 May 1923 in Hardin, Calhoun Co, Illinois; died on 10 Mar 1991 in Alton Memorial Hospital, Alton, Madison Co, Illinois; was buried on 13 Mar 1991 in Hardin Cem, Hardin, Calhoun Co, Illinois.
