    Fred P. Zapp, 86, of Mascoutah, died Thursday, November 5, 1992, at Mar Ka Nursing Home, Masc outah.
    He was retired from Visually Handicapped Managers of Illinois; a member of St. John United Ch urch of Christ, Mascoutah, Illinois Council of the Blind, the American Council of the Blind , Alumni Assn. of Illinois School for the Visually Impaired and Handicapped, Member and pas t board member of the Mary Bryant Home for the Blind, Springfield, IL., and Peoria Social Clu b.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Augusta, nee Reiss, Zapp; a son-in-law, J ack Lamb; five sisters, Lizzie Zapp, Gussie Zerban, Margeurite Peters, Irene Klopmeyer, Flore nce Heilweck.
    He is survived by his wife, Beulah I., nee Mathews, Zapp; a daughter, Marilyn J. Lamb of Masc outah; a sister, Flossie Heilwick of Sun City, CA; three grandchildren, Kevin Lamb of Mascout ah, Terri (Kevin) Ettling of Bellevill, Cheryl (Anthony) New of Tampa, FL; several nieces, ne phews and friends.
    Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the St. John UCC, Mascoutah, with Pastor Willia m Causer officiating. Burial will be in Mascoutah City Cemetery.
    Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at the Moll Funeral Home and at the church Monday fro m 9 a.m. until time of service.
    Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ or Radio Information Service.

    Fred married Beulah R. Mathews on 31 Dec 1935 in East St. Louis, St. Clair, Illinois. Beulah (daughter of Thomas Kinsman Mathews and Katherine Olive Snider) was born on 29 Dec 1912 in Grafton, Jersey, Illinois; died on 20 Jan 2008 in St. Paul's Nursing Home, Belleville, St. Clair, Illinois; was buried on 26 Jan 2008 in Mascoutah City Cemetery, Mascoutah, St. Clair, Illinois.     Beulah Irene Zapp, nee Mathews, 95, of Mascoutah, Ill., born Dec. 29, 1912, in Grafton, Ill. , died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2008, at St. Pauls Nursing Home in Belleville, Ill.
    Beulah operated the snack bar in the St. Clair County Court House in Belleville for many year s, through the Visually Handicapped Managers of Illinois.
    She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Mascoutah, Illinois Council of the Blin d, the American Council of the Blind, Alumni Assn. of Illinois School for the Visually Impair ed and Handicapped, Member and past board member of the Mary Bryant Home for the Blind, Sprin gfield, IL., and Peoria Social Club.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred P. Zapp, whom she married in East St. Louis, I ll., Dec. 31, 1935, and who died Nov. 5, 1992; her parents, Thomas and Kate, need Schneider ( Snider); three sisters, Velma Miller, Chelsea Worsham, and Mabel Shoemaker; a brother, Willar d Mathews; a son-in-law, Jack Lamb; a grandson, Kevin Lamb, and a grandson-in-law, Kevin Ettl ing.
    She is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Lamb of OFallon, Ill.; two granddaughters, Terri (C harles) Ettling-Shell of OFallon, Ill., and Cheryl (Anthony) New of Riverview, Fla.; three g reat grandchildren, Joshua Ettling and fiancİb, Lauren Krajicek, Nicholas Ettling and Richel e New; nieces, nephews, friends, and special friends, Dorothy Kapplet and JoAnn (Charlton) St urm.

    MATTHEWS
    Fieldon-Thomas Kinsman Matthews, 93, of Rte. 1, Fieldon (Nutwood), died at 10:25 a.m. Thursda y at the Firmin Desloge Hospital in St. Louis, MO., where he had been a patient for eight day s.
    The retired farmer was born April 15, 1875, in Jersey County. He married Ida Ramsey Matthews , who survives.
    In addition to his widow, he is survived by one son, Willard of Alton; three brothers, Mrs. M ildred Worsham of Bethalto, Mrs. Velma Broadman of Onteria, Calif., and Mrs. Beulah Zapp of M ascoutah; six step-children; 19 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by one daughter and one son.
    Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Jacoby Brothers Funeral Home in Jerseyville , the Rev. A.J. Maggos of Alton officiating.
    Burial will be in Hardin Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. Saturda y.

    Thomas married Katherine Olive Snider on 1 Jan 1899 in Calhoun, Illinois. Katherine (daughter of John Abraham Snider and Mary F Hyatt) was born on 25 Aug 1879 in Calhoun, Illinois; died on 22 Mar 1918 in Quarry, Jersey, Illinois; was buried in Hardin Cem, Hardin, Calhoun Co, Illinois.     Body of Mrs. Mathcws Taken to Hardin Friday For Burial.
    The body of Mrs. T. K. Mathews who died at her home near Grafton, was taken to Hardin Frida y morning
    on a yacht for burial. Mrs. Mathews had only been a resident of this city for a few weeks, ha ving moved from Hardln. She was taken ill with pneumonia a few days ago, which proved fatal.
    Shc leaven to mourn her loss a young husband, four daughters and one son, besides many othe r relatives.
    Funeral services were conducted as soon as the funeral party got to Hardin. Burial was in Har din Cemetery,
    A large number of friends and relatives of the family accompanied the remains to its last res ting place.

    Death of Mrs. T. K.

    Mrs. T.'TK. Mathews, aged 38 years, died at her home about 3 miles north of Grafton, early Th ursday morning, after a brief illness of pneumonia.
    Mrs. Mathews was formely of Hardin, Ill., and moved to Grafton a few mouths ago with her husb and and family.
    She is survived by her husband and five children, four girls and one boy, between the ages o f four and sixteen years. The body will be taken to her former home in Hardin for burial
