"Across the Years in Prince George's Co." by Bowie
Benjamin Young came to the Province of Maryland abt 1734 and settled inP.G. C o. Shortly after his arrival, he married Ann Rozier, dau. andheiress o f Notley Rozier and widow of Daniel Carroll of Duddington whodied in 1 734 leaving a wife and one son--Charles Carroll of Duddingtonand Carro llsburg, b. 1729 and died 1773. The footnote at the bottom ofthe page s ays "This Charles Carroll, half brother of Notley Young lefttwo sons-- Daniel and Charles Carroll, Jr. of Duddington. CharlesCarroll, Jr. mar ried Mary, dau. of Henry Hill". (I have paraphrasedthis). This is conf using or something's wrong. They state that theFATHER of Charles, Jr. i s the one who died in 1773 but theAdministrative Accounts clearly stat e they are for Charles, Jr. and Marywere married in 1780.

Charles married Mary Hill about 1763. Mary (daughter of Henry Darnall Hill, Sr. and Mary Anne Hoskins) was born in 1744; died in 1822. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
