Moved from Warren, Litchfield, CT to Westfield (now Fort Ann), Washington, NY where he settled at Hartford, NY, then moving to Adams, Jefferson, NY; he was there in 1802. Left Adams in spring of 1808 to go to Cooperstown, Otsego, NY where his youngest son, Solomon was born. Finally he moved to Ontario, Canada west.

Reported to have fathered 17 children.

Resided Warren and Litchfield, CT; ca 1805 moved to Hinman Hollow, Hartwick, Otsego, NY where he, his son Solomon, and others of the family are buried on the old homestead grounds.

Military: August 1776 private in Capt. Carter's Co; Ensign in 2nd Co of Kent May 1755.

October 23, 1715: cordwainer Daniel Comstock bought land and one-half a dwelling house from Henry Jackson of Stratfield.
Bought land again in Strafield February 26, 1733-34.

Daniel Jr. Comstock and wife, Katherine, sold land to his father, Daniel Sr. in Fairfield April 23, 1737 (Stratfield in Fairfield, CT).

Mentioned in will of grandfather John Odell's will, proved June 6, 1743.

Church site in Kent, CT fixed by General Assembly October 1740 on west end of home lot of Daniel Comstock.
