1. | Elam Bonham, (not son of Samuel & Ruth Bowyer) was born in 1756 in New Jersey (son of Samuel (MF) Bonham and Ruth Bowyer); died after 1800 in Brantford, Brant, Canada. Notes: *Hazie attributed four additional children to Samuel, Jr. and Ruth Bowyer Bonham, viz., Samuel, III; Peter; Benjamin; and Elam. Of these, Peter was almost certainly the son of Amariah Bonham and, although various civil records attest to the existence of the others, there is no substantial evidence of their parentage. Even so, it is probable, even likely, that at least some of them are descended from Nicholas Bonham. Nevertheless, Howard Bonham concluded that Samuel and Ruth Bonham had no children with the possible exception of Catherine, who died as a young child. |

On 3 Feb 1755 a license was granted for the marriage of Samuel Bonham of Burlington, shipwright, to Ruth Bowyer of Philadelphia, indicating he was b ca 1714. 5. | Catherine Anderson was born about 1693 (daughter of Enoch Anderson and Catherine Opdyke); died before 6 Sep 1754. Notes: Daughter of Enoch Anderson (or Andrus) and Catherine Opdyke of Maidenhead and Trenton NJ. the will of Enoch Anderson, dated 2 Oct 1741 proved 8 Oct 1741, names amoung others, his daughter Catherine Bonham and her two unnamed sons. She died before 6 Sep 1754 when her son Samuel Bonham, then of the northern liberties of Philadelphia, and his wife Ruth, sold his interests in lots in Trenton, which the will of his grandfather Enoch Anderson left to be divided between him and his brother Ephraim. Notes: It it believed that he was born during his father's migration from Massachusetts to New Jersey. According to Jack D. Ross, Hezekiah was born in Barnstable Township, Barnstable, Maryland. At the death of his father he was made executor of thill along with his mother, although he was not of legal age. Thus, he surely had the confidence and respect of his father. Hezekiah* married Mary Dunn before Oct 1691 in Middlesex Co, New Jersey.
