Lucinda Elizabeth Doak (Dark, Duke)

Notes:

David Ballew says that Lucinda was Cherokee (or Creek) Indian and maiden name Dark. He says that when censuses were taken in 1840 and 1850 in Claiborne Co., most of the Indians said that they were white, thus no Indian census for that county in those years. Remember, Trail of Tears was in 1838. The Cherokees were in Claiborne Co. area and the Creeks just over into Bell Co., KY area. David's great grandmother picture he has she was dressed like an Indian.

The 1850 census has a Mary Dork age 30 born Tennessee living with them.

The 1880 census states he was born 1820 and Ancestry Com has them in District 3, but the census states District 13
