Evan married Mary Worley on 1 May 1828 in Harrison Co, Ohio. Mary was born about 1805; died after 1829. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

He moved to Faquier Co with his father in 1794 and is listed on the tax returns there continuously from 1802 until 1816. In 1816 he and his brother Smith moved to Ohio. David settled in Harrison Co, and then to Tuscarawas Co where he lived until 1846. He then moved to Green Co, Indiana and is buried in the cemetery at Midland, Indiana.

David married Tacy Phillips in May 1804 in Fauquier Co, Virginia. Tacy was born about 1778; died after 1804. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Benjamin was probably a minister, as was at least three of his sons. All were educated well by standards of the time.

Nathan was a minister and moved to Wythe Co, Va in 1791 and married several of the Bonham family there. Among the marriages was that of Nehemiah Bonham and Isabelle Scott and Deborah and Benjamin Peck, both couples married on the same day, 5 Jn 1796. Jeremiah bonded for her.
Smith and David left Virginia "which was becoming controlled by slaveholders and which made it difficult for a man of modest means to make a living for their growing family; so they decided to go to Ohio, which was opened up as a free State." (he Bonham Family)

He was in Hunterdon Co, NJ in 1722. The tax roll contained the names of 138 men subject to taxation and among them was Nehemiah Bonham. the town records of Hopewell for 1729-1730 lists Nehemiah as "Constable." (The Bonham Family)
There is a possibility of another child, Amy Bonham, b: May 18, 1725 in New Jersey, but she is not listed in "The Bonham Family" by Samuel J. Bonham.

At a town meeting held on March 10, 1729/1730 Nehemiah Bonham and John Carpenter were elected constables for Hopewell Township.

Nehemiah Bonham lost title to his land about 1734 as a result of the Coxe Affair.
The Coxe Affair - Many residents of Hopewell Township lost ownership of their land to Colonel Daniel Coxe. Coxe demanded that Hopewell landowners either purchase their property from him again or be evicted. On April 22, 1731, fifty landlowners unsuccessfully sued Coxe to resist eviction.Some families immediately left and settled further south in Virginia and North Carolina, others paid him, and some resorted to acts of revenge.
