The Register of the Kentucky Historical Society, Volume 81, No 2, Spring 1983 in an article, "The Peopling of Lexington, Kentucky; Growth and Mobility in a Frontier Town," gives on page 119,
"Among early Lexington lot owners were several sets of brothers (for example the Todds and the Zumwalts...."
On a listing on page 133, of "First Lot Holders of Lexington Dec 1781 - July 1783" appear these names: Adam Zumwalt, Jacob Zumwalt and Stoffel Zumwalt."

Fort Zumwalt Cemetery is listed as both Fort Zumwalt, and in older paperwork it is Stoney Point Cemetery as well. There are the two remaining stones, Jacob and Queti (Catherine) Miller Zumwalt. Jacob's stone says "Jacob Zumwalt, Virginia, Pvt. Augusta Co. Militia, Revolutionary War 1752 - 1820". The adjacent stone reads "Queti Miller Zumwalt 1799". Fort Zumwalt Park is located in O'Fallon, MO, west of the intersection of K Highway and Veteran's Parkway.
