Three Allison men who are descendants of Samuel Veale Allison are members of the Allison/Ellison DNA Project. They have discovered their Y-Chromosome DNA test results match the DNA results of several Allison and Ellison men who trace their paternal ancestry back to Orange County, New York, in thew 1700s.
