5. | Winnie Walker was born on 16 Apr 1830 in Georgia; died on 16 Mar 1883 in Jackson Co, Tennessee. Notes: There is a book written about Winnie. The story goes that she was stolen by Gypsies as a child. When 16 years of age the Gypsy camp was in the small town of Gainesboro Tennessee. The town thought that this very blond girl did not belong to the Gypsy family and took the girl. My ancestor Little Berry Young married her. She was known as a very good midwife and a great herbalist. She ruled with an iron fist and everyone obeyed. Her daughters-in-law were very scared of her. I would loved to have known her!
