Dwight "Double Nickel" Bates, 62, of Foreman, AR died Tuesday May 15, 2012.

Mr. Bates was born July 24, 1949 in Dumas, Texas. He is preceded in death by his wife, Tillie Bates; one son, Roger Bates; Daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Bates; and his parents, Virgil and Veva Bates.

He is survived by his son, Steven Bates of Texarkana, AR; four daughters & son-in-law, Kimberly Marshall of Magnolia, AR, April & Chad Baldwin of Foreman, AR, Whitney Bates of Magnolia, AR, Cheyanne Bates of Texarkana, AR; five brothers, Phillip Bates of Foreman, AR, Roy Bates of Foreman, AR, Allen Bates of New Boston, TX, Rickey Bates of Texarkana, AR, Jimmy Williams of Fouke, AR; and eleven Grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday night May 18, 2012 from 5 to 7 pm at Madden Funeral Home in Foreman, AR.

Funeral Services will be Saturday May 19, 2012 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Foreman, AR with David Tucker officiating.Burial will follow at Marvin Cemetery in Wallace, AR.
