Notes:
It is said by family that Lee Curey is half brother to John Wesley and others. Lee stated his father was an immigrant and mother from Texas. John Wesley said his mother was Carrie Elizabeth Holdridge in his SS application, as does Cleveland's SS app. But then in John Wesley's d.c., his wife gives his mother as Martha Holder. So, mistaken on name, or was there another wife?
Lee is older than the other children; so assuming, rationalizing, that Carrie Elizabeth Holdridge was married 1st to Curey, the immigrant. Some records are showing her born in Kentucky; but most are indicating she is from Texas. Unsure also about Indian heritage. This is also from family who says some of the children were listed in Dawes.
Lee Curie also gave as person to always know his address in his WWII registration as Tom McCoy, who was married to Bertha. Bertha was shown to be aunt of the children in 1920 census. The children are nowhere to be found in 1910 census records, Texas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, or Kentucky.
Tom McCoy stated in 1917 in his WWI draft registration that he should be exempt because he had to care for his wife, her mother, and 4 children - these four. His wife was Bertha who was the children's aunt. (She seems to be the half sister of John Brown who married Carrie Holdridge.)
