From census records, William was born in Illinois Mar 1865; living in Oregon in 1900; only child of Catherine Parker, born in Virginia, widowed before 1880 and lived in Illinois with William and her brother-in-law, Squire (b 1814 TN). William stated his father was born in Illinois. The Parker brothers parents were both born in North Carolina.

Name associations found in an online study of a Scaif/Parker connection indicate William and Squire Parker were recipients in land drawing in Cherokee/Habersham County (Georgia); thought to be sons or maybe brothers of Joseph Parker.
1850 Habersham Co, GA has a Squire Parker b 1814 but in SC.

Banks Co, GA deed for Squire Parker witnessed by James Crocker & Silas Robertson (Crocker & Robertson collateral names in Bounds/Cooley/Parker families)

No apparent connections.

Comments: I have been researching Squire Parker, brother-in-law of, and living in household Catherine (unknown)Parker in 1880. I have discovered that Alexander Parker was Catherine's husband, and, thus, Squire Parker's brother. Please contact me with your email address, and I'll provide you source information, and other information that may be too long for this comment box.
I believe that Squire Parker was the same Signor Parker living with my great-grandfather, Jonathan Turner Parker, in Schuyler County in 1870. He might have been the uncle of Jonathan's wife, Mary C. Parker, daughter of Isaiah Parker.
