Less detail
Generation: 1

  1. 1.  Levi F. Moler was born on 31 Jul 1853 in Nicholas Co, Kentucky (son of Henry Moler and Elizabeth A. Moore); died on 28 Jun 1929 in Indianapolis, Marion Co, Indiana.

Generation: 2

  1. 2.  Henry Moler was born on 21 Nov 1827 in Nicholas Co, Kentucky (son of (unknown) and Elizabeth* Welty); died on 31 May 1900 in Center, Boone Co, Indiana; was buried in Clark Hill Cem, Lebanon, Boone Co, Indiana.

    Other Events and Attributes:

    • Census: 1830, Nicholas Co, Kentucky; b bet 1825 and 1830
    • Census: 1840, Nicholas Co, Kentucky; b bet 1826 and 1830
    • Census: 1850, Nicholas Co, Kentucky; b 1828
    • Census: 1860, Nicholas Co, Kentucky; b 1828
    • Census: 1870, Center, Boone Co, Indiana; b 1827
    • Residence: 1885, Boone Co, Indiana; per half-bro Allen's will
    • Property: 26 Jun 1885, Nicholas Co, Kentucky; heir half-bro Allen Moler

    Notes:

Henry's identity is by circumstantial evidence. In 1885 Allen Moler specified in his will all his siblings as heirs, known children of Joseph Jr. and Elizabeth Welty. There was no known 2nd marriage for either parent. However, Joseph Jr. died in 1823.
In the 1830 Elizabeth is appearing as head of household with a male under 5, age group 1825-1830.
This child is not likely a grandson
    1. Joseph III - already has his own household, and had only girls.
    2. Catherine m Breckenridge, had two sons in this age group but established household with her own family
    3. John Moler - looks like he is living with his mother and new bride in 1830. First child a daughter; a son not born till 1834.
    4. Mary m Sparks in 1827 - unk if children or her whereabouts; does not appear to be in household with her mother.
    5. Drucilla m in 1835
    6 Abraham b 1815-1819, too young for a child 1825-1830
rest of the children also too young

1840, this child is still in Elizabeth's household, now in the age group 10-14 (1826-1830)

Since the age is clearly after the death of Joseph Jr., and since Allen referred to a half brother Henry in Boone County, Indiana, the only reasonable explanation is that she either had a brief marriage after Joseph's death in 1823 and was either widowed again or he was for some reason no longer in the picture, whether she married him or not.
Findagrave has a memorial for a Henry Moler, b 21 Nov 1827, in Boone County, buried in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon, Boone County, Indiana, Plot: Sect 6.
