    >Also, I have a death record that Joseph Johnson (this Joseph?) died 16 Oct 1806 at age 55. If Isaac was b bef 1765 - in 1765 Joseph would have been 14. Death record must be a different Joseph.

Could be Isaac's brother, but I have no dates on Isaac's parents and I don't know if they came to LA.

Joseph married Rachel Harrington (Aranten). Rachel was born about 1750 in of, Carolina; died after 1804. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

  2. 9.  Rachel Harrington (Aranten) was born about 1750 in of, Carolina; died after 1804.

    Notes:

LV: Isaac's mother may be related to the Charles Harrington who settled in Attakapas District. Charles's wife was born in KY and his eldest known son was born in KY in 1796; the son ID'd KY as his birth place on the 1850 census, but curiously his brother, about a year younger, said on the same census that his was AL! Anyway, if per chance Isaac and Moses were brothers, and we have thus far absolutely no evidence that they were, then KY is quite possibly where they were born.
