    Melinda writes of (..) Clark:
It is a supposition on the part of several Louisiana Clark researchers that Terence, Patrick, John and Francis are brothers. There is an additional Clark family in the Orleans Territory, headed by Matthew Clark and Isabelle Wilson, who may be another brother. There are various documents that link the descendants of the first four as cousins (find reference here from Sue Severson). Patrick's wife and Francis' wife both are named Melon/Malone (and various other transliterated spellings) and are both referred to as "from Baltimore, Maryland." In addition, there is a 1790 document executed by Patrick in which the scribe refers to his brother "Clarens", which may be Terence.
