Sherry Ned Wilson (who I believe is Dr Ned Wilson) and I corresponded by email. I have some of them printed out and stored somewhere. He told me about a book someone (a lady Breckenridge) wrote on Samuel's life but I didn't pursue that.

"Daniel, David and Samuel were sons of Samuel Chadd (1754-abt 1839, migrated to Bourbon KY from Frederick Md. Their sister Mary Chadd (1770-1780) daughter of Samuel Sr is my ancestor. She married Alexander Breckenridge (1743) 16 CT 1806 in Bourbon, Ky. Alexander had 10 children by his first wife, 4 children by Mary Chadd. Their last child Jane Breckenridge (1811) married Michael Wilson (1807)
in 1828 Nicholas KY. Jane Breckenridge (1811) is my gggeandmother by son, gr grandfather Geporge P. Wilson (1841),grandfather, Frederick A. Wilson (1865) and father Harry Verle Wilson."

"William inherited some land in MD. that his son William Jr who died ante 15 MAR 1794 and his son Samuel Chadd inherited the same land. Samuel was the Rev. War soldier Pvt MD Militia, who sold the land after the war and moved to Bourbon KY. There with his daughter Mary Chadd, married Alexander Breckenridge. Their daughter Jane married Michael Wilson, my gggrandparents. Samuel moved to Harrison Ky where he died. I believe he had the following children:

Samuel Jr, James, DAvid, Daniel, Patience, Mary, William, Thomas, Hannah and Nancy.

    Notes:

This list of children is purely pieced together from various Internet posts. All need to be verified and tracked. Apparently places to look for them are Hendrick and Putnam Co Indiana.

    (from Ned Wilson - 26 Jan 2001

    Census:
3 in household - 1 male under 16. Assuming, William, at 16, who married Nancy Waller in 1813. Creates a wide gap of 20 yrs in brother relationship with Samuel, but seems more logical than "creating" another William Chadd that is not accounted for in the records.

William married (Mrs William) Chadd, Sr about 1748. (Mrs was born about 1730; died after 1780. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
