    Nathaniel Jones his deposition
    Nathaniel Jones aged 24 years or there abouts sworn
    and examined saith that he heard Thomas Baker and
    Thomas Knight both say unto him in the time that Thomas
    Baker and Thomas Knight live upon the plantation with
    [-----] John Hillers that then this depon't heard Thomas
    Baker being in discourse concerning a boar of Mr. John
    Ham-] deceased Thomas Baker replyed saying the location
    my dog and I killed the boar and this depon't hath
    [--- ]Thomas Knight confessed the same being at that time
    both [-----] copartners in estates and also this depon't saith
    the said Baker and Knight said they did bury the same [-----]
    within the plantation and further this depon't saith
    the mark of Nathaniel Jones
    taken before Mr. Nathaniel Pope and Major Thomas
    Baldridge.

    Jh Note: The will of Thomas Boys dated Aug. 1, 1657 and Prob Oct. 20, 1657 in Westmoreland Co. was witnessed by Richard Browne. His executors were: John Hallowes, John Hillier, and Thomas Wilsford. His will states he left his sisters and his son Thomas in Isle of Wright and says his son was about 32 in 1656. "his now wife Elizabeth" may indicate a previous marriage. Thomas Boys was in St.Mary's Co by 1637. His name seems to pop up most frequently with Nathaniel Pope and Marmaduke Snow.

    Whereas it appeareth to this Court that WM. PINLEY did and stands indebted unto THO: BOYS one Servant to be delivered upon payment of two hhds. of tobaco from JOHN HILLERS who engaged himselfe to deliver the said tobaco to the said PINLEY for the use of the said BOYS & now the said PINLEY is deceased, & the said Servant not delivered, the Court hath therefore ordered that the said JOHN HILLER shall by the Tenth day of December next deliver unto the said THO: BOYS or his assignes one sufficient man Servant else Execucon &c.
