Abraham married Elizabeth (Chaney) in 1813. Abraham & Elizabeth Randles moved to N.E. quarter of Sec. 5 Township No. 5 (now Roscoe) Coshocton County on December 9, 1816 from Harrison County, Ohio. Official Land Record. The 1881 History states that the nearest neighbors were 8 miles away. This property was on the old Mount Vernon Road which is Jackson County Road 55. In one of the recent books about Roscoe, on page 17, he is named as the pioneer. Abraham afterwards removed to the Killbuck, in the northern part of the county, where he died.

This tombstone was vandalized probably on November 28,1998. The article appears in The Holmes County Hub, (Millersburg, Ohio newspaper) front page on Thursday, December 10, 1998 along with a history of this Cemetery. As of October 2006, the tombstone still has not been repaired and is on the ground! Revolutionary War soldier, John Gwinn, who was the grandfather of Benjamin Caster is buried here
Abraham's age (on the stone)is 64 years 9 months 7 days of age. His daughter, Sarah, who married Benjamin Caster is also buried several rows away here.
The children of Elizabeth (Chaney) and Abraham Randles Sr, are listed on Randles Station.com. Some of whom I have not yet found the gravesites of. I have found no evidence that Abraham was married twice.
