This William is living very near Robertson (Robinson) Johnson in 1850 Christian County, but he is not Robinson's brother as Robinson's siblings are known from his father Samuel's will. It's likely he's a cousin. Best guess as to Samuel's father is William who had sons in the 1780s, i.e, Samuel (b 1782), William Jr., Jesse, Baley, and Thomas. This William b 1819 is more than likely a son of one of these. Also, since he named a son Winfield, and Robinson had a brother Winfield, it's pretty sure that they're from the same family. And since he also named a son Thomas, attaching him to Thomas seems like a good guess until further research can be done.

William married Adeline Hurt about 1839 in Kentucky. Adeline was born in 1820 in Kentucky; died after 1850 in of, Christian Co, Kentucky. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
