MRS. ELIZA LINVILLE.
Eliza McCrary, daughter of Silas and Martha McCrary, was born on February 8th, 1857 and passed away at her home in Gallatin, Mo. May 10th, 1938 at the age of 81 years, 3 months and 2 days. She was united in marriage with S.M. Linville in the year 1874. To this union seven sons were born, two died in infancy and the third, Hardy Linville, died several years ago. The four surviving are J.A. Linville and Senyard Linville, of Gallatin, Green Linville, of Hamilton and Eptram Linville of Hamildonia, Kansas.
Mrs. Linville lived in an age of sacrifice when hardships were endured by most people. The modern convenience enjoyed today were unknown. Only a few of that generation still survive. Soon the day will arrive when they shall all pass away and exist only in the memory of their loved ones.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Hope Funeral Home by Rev. D.O. Richardson. Mrs. Elsie Lynch sang two solos. The body was tenderly laid to rest by the side of her husband in the McCrary cemetery.
