West of Hilledebrandt Bayou, there lived perhaps 6 or 7 families, including Christian Hilledebrandt, William Carr, John J. French, and George Burrell.
John Jap French settled on the north side of Taylor's Bayou, area of the Burrells, in early 1800s.
He and his wife were born in CT and died in Taylor Co, TX. 2 of their 3 known children were born in NY, including the Nancy Eliza who married George Burrell in 1843.

John married Sarah "Sally" Munson about 1824. Sarah was born in 1799 in Connecticut; died after 1850. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
