Hello Sherry,

I stumbled across your website while searching for Essie Alta Cothren, who was the late aunt of my mother Millicent Fulton. Millie?s mother was Ethel Cothren; and Essie & Ethel married brothers (Albert & Jesse) and later died of TB. Ethel died of TB when Millie was just 1 year old. We are trying to find any information on her family, specifically her mother who was noted as Sally Williams (but we are unsure if this was a married name or a maiden name). Millie was told by her father that her mother was Cherokee, but the official records all list her as white. Do you have any information on Essie?s family history other then her marrying Albert? Sally disappears from the records from what we can find, making us wonder if there really is a Native American connection.

Any help you can provide would be great. Thank you for your genealogy page.
