    Notes:

    Died:
Mrs. Eliza Taylor, widow of Mr. William Tayor, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Willie Mullis, at Graham, Ga., Sunday afternoon, after an extended illness of the infirmities of old age. The body was brought to Eastman Monday afternoon on the Southern train, and interment took place in the Taylor Cemetery near Cross Roads. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. D. Johnson of the Eastman Baptist Church, and were attended by a large concourse of relatives and friends.

Mrs. Taylor was born in Bibb County in 1840, and moved to Dodge County with her parents when about nine years old. She was a sister of Messrs. Charles, Bob and Joe Jones, all prominent citizens of this section, and to Mrs. J. T. Rogers and Mrs. J. K. P. Mullis, by all of whom she is survived. When about fifteen years old she was married to Mr. William Talor, and her first born son, Mr. John W. Taylor, formerly sheriff of this county, was born before she was sixteen years old. She survived all of her children except two, Mrs. Willis Mullis of Graham and Mr. Z. R. Taylor of Baxley. Two sons, Messrs. John W. and Joe D. Taylor were for many years leaders in the political affairs of Dodge County, Joe D. Taylor serving several terms as tax collector and clerk of the surerior court, and John W. serving a number of years as sheriff. Both died within the past few years, and a number of other children died at a younger age.

Mrs. Taylor was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, and as long as her physical strength would permit, took a great interest in the religious affairs of the community in which she lived.
