Description: I have researched this family for years. Russell and Martha Holliman were my gr gr gr grandparents. The Thomas you have listed did not carry Brazil or Brazeale as his middle name or nick name. The Thomas you have listed was the son of Russell's brother, James Holliman married to Matilda Oliver. You are mixing information from records.

2-Thomas Holliman b 1831 d after 1870 in hunting accident; m Darly Ann Hutto. 3-Serena Holliman b1835 d abt 1882 m1 George Dykes m2 Thomas Mason. 4-John Riley Holliman b 1842 d 1925 m1 Mary Jane Chatham m2 Mary Elizabeth Hutto. 5- William Brazeale "Brazill" Holliman b 1844 d 1864 in New Orleans buried at Chalmette National Cemetery. He was never married. Martha and Russell received his Union pension. 6- Nancy Ann Holliman b 1847 d abt 1935 m James Douglas

James Holliman and Matilda Oliver were the parents of Thomas Holliman b1831 d 1864 in New Orleans and buried at Chalmette National Cemetery. He married Elizabeth Landrum. They had two daughters. Other sons of James and Matilda that joined Union in New Orleans were James and Oliver. James also died of desease in New Orleans. Oliver was the only one who survived out of the Hollimans at New Orleans.
