40 Employed on Municipal Dock Repair
Good progress is being made this week in the rebuilding of sections of the municipal docks where around 40 persons on the relief rolls are employed under the foremanship of Captain John Ferguson, city harbor master. The work is being inspected and it is done by a representative of the Missouri Pacific Railroad company, under whose instructions the municipal short line is operated. The work is being pushed as rapidly as possible with the view of having the docks in first class shape to take care of the big increase to take care of the big increase in shipping that is expected to develop in the very near future.
