Green B. Ferguson, 36, employee of the LEvingston Shipbuilding comany yard, died suddenly Saturday evening before he could be moved to a local hospital.
Ferguson was a native of Orange. For several years he had worked at the municipal docks before joining the force at the Levingston ship yard. The family residence is at 515 South street in Bland addition.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Louise F. Ferguson; two daughters, Laura Lou and Anna Lou, a son, John Henry Ferguson; his father Captain John Ferguson, locl harbormaster, a brother John Ferguson, Jr., in the U.S. navy; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Bates, Mrs. Loucille Johnston, Misses Beula and Georgia Ferguson, all of Orange.
Funeral services were held from the Wheeler funeral chapter at 3 o'clock this afternoon with Rev. Jaroy Weber, pastor of the North Orange Baptist church, officiating, burial taking place in Evergreen cemetery under direction of the Wheeer funeral home.
Active pallbearers were: Percy Bland, Ardis Thomas Lewis, Dick Burnett, Dick Johnston, Jimmie Lee, White, and Charles M. Colbert.
