In the name of God Amen. I Allen Crook of the County of Jefferson, State of Colorado do make this my last will & testament. My beloved wife Margaret A. Crook has been heretofore provided for.
I constitute and appoint my grand Son John H. Howell executor of this will.
I give and bequeath to each of my grand children, Margaret A. Howell, Bettie (Elizabeth) Howell & Edgar A. Howell five thousand dollars each.
I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Lillie Lane one thousand Dollars to be her Sole property to his and the heirs of her body & to be free from the control of her husband.
I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Jane Howell five hundred Dollars. I will and bequeath to my Son in law Cason Howell My two horses Bill and Baxter. I will the remainder of my estate both real and personal to the aforementioned legates in equal parts.
I have given nothing to my grand Son John H. Howell for the reason that he is believed to be well enough off as to property; but in case of accident rendering helpless or unable to provide for himself, in that case I wish him to Share with the rest of my Grand Children equally in every thing except the Special bequest here in Set forth.
Witness my hand & Seal this the 6th day of January A. D. 1893.
