- She married William Maas. 1870 Jefferson Co Census lists William as a farmer from Prussia; Charlotte from Prussia, their children all being born in Texas. Value on his estate is $4,000-$2,000. There is another child living with them, Sally Allen, age 6. They lived at Johnson's Bayou and Wiess Bluff before settling at Sabine Pass. They reared a family of about ten children there.

Re: Our lines cross through Charlotte Gentz who married William Maass. My information on Charlotte was that she was born in Philamine, Germany. Does that match your information? Don't know what you have on other lines but will share. Do you know where the Gentz line came from in Germany?
