Notes |
- [A Snider-from Julie Goheen.FTW]
In the 1900 census, I found a Newton and wife, Jenie, are living in Jerseyville, Jersey, Ill inois. They are living on Prairie Street. They state that they have been married for 30 year s. They have 0 children born to them. However I have found their marriage as 16 Oct 1881 i n Jersey County. Also Newton states that he was born in Jan 1845 and Jeniie was born in Illin ois as was her parents. This obviously is not the right couple so they are missing in 1900.
In the 1910 census, Charles N. and Sarah J. are living in Elsah Twp, Jersey Co., IL They ar e ages 55 and 50. Sarah was born in Ohio as were her parents. Charles is a carpenter. The y are living on LaSalle Street.
In the 1920 census, Charles and Sarah are living in Elsah. They are 66 and 60 years of age . Sarah's brother and his wife are living next door to them. Their names are Henry and Laur a Garrell. they are 67 and 63 years of age.
In the 1930 census, Charles and Sarah are living in the City of Alton. They are on Atwood St reet according tot he census. They are 76 and 70 years of age. Charles was 27 years old an d Sarah was 22 years old when they married.
