Eddie Smith
HARDIN. Eddie Raymond Smith, 55, died unexpectedly Saturday morning at the home of David Mc Gee, south of Hardin, where he had been staying a few weeks. He was the son Charles and Mar y Snider
of Smith and was born at Rosedale.
The family moved here when he was a small boy and he had spent his entire life it this commun ity,
where he worked as a painter and at general labor.
He is survived by two sons and two daughters; Charles East Alton; Eddie Lee, Decatur; Mrs. Eu la Kladar, Wood River and Mrs. Imogene Powell, Decatur. The surviving brothers are: Henry, Ha rdin: Charles, Alton, and two surviving sister are Mrs. Ed Tavernier, Hardin and Mrs. Rebecc a Taviner, Jerseyville.
There are six grand children.
Funeral, services were conducted at the Presbyterian Church Monday afternoon (by the Rev. Lyl e D. Stone. Burial was in the Hardin Cemetery.
